APW - Illinois, Bunn Special Grade 161 Elinvar, Type IIE marking, 21J 60 Hour, 16S, white gold-filled OF original Bunn Special Model 107 case with attractive pattern back engraving, "Illinois Bunn Special 21 Jewel 60 Hour" marked white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, mono-metallic balance with blued Elinvar hairspring, rayed pattern nickel damascene, s#5474082. A terrific example throughout that is notable for its superb Model 107 case with factory executed pattern back engraving that is rarely seen among this case model.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Ticking sluggishly, overhaul recommended, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous surfaces, some typical small fine to micro-fine scratches, larger winding wheel with some bits of oxide at perimeter; flawless dial; excellent hands, some oxide to seconds-hand; case shows hardly any wear, some very small nicks to bezel at 4, no dents or dings, excellent engraving detail; tight bow with some minuscule specks of wear to brass at its sharp corners, crown shows very little wear; good glass crystal.
